Michael Vincent (center) provided virtuoso strumming and haunting vocals....

The amazing ASWAT ensemble enchanted the audience with magically beautiful Arab melodies....

Headliners for the evening, the super-amazing and spectacular Atkinson Kincheloe Band (left to right, George Kincheloe, Lisa Atkinson, Marty Atkinson), singing peace, justice, social change....

Special guest Peter S. Beagle, renowned author of The Last Unicorn, reading the original Mother's Day Proclamation of Julia Ward Howe....

When the President vetoed, on May 1st, the bill with a timeline for withdrawing US forces from Iraq, we organized a Veto Vigil the next day.  With the help of MoveOn Political Action, San Mateo Peace Action, and Pax Christi Burlingame, we brought together a diverse group with great signs and noisemakers!  Check out these pix.

The March 16 vigil and march, with the theme "We Choose Peace," drew more than 120 participants to Central Park and downtown San Mateo.  Can you find yourself or your friends or neighbors in these photos?
